About Susan Lee
With a deep-rooted philosophy in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
and Eastern Philosophies, Susan believes blockages can exist in everyone at
all levels - physical, emotional and spiritual.
Susan's experience covers a broad array of traditional Chinese therapies and natural health modalities. Susan uses TCM diagnoses and holistic approaches to identify each individual's current state of health. She believes that the awareness and acknowledgement of your current state is just the beginning of all healing journeys.
Philosophy

In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), blockages in the mind and body are the main causes of all illnesses; and emotions and physical health are intimately connected. Hence, emotional imbalances can act as both symptoms and causes for physical issues. This integrated mind-body approach to health and healing operates in an interrelated cycle where emotions impact the health of the body and vice versa.

TCM is based on the principle that mental and physical well-being are intricately entwined. Because of that, TCM practitioners believe that optimal health is governed by balancing a person's Qi (energy/life force). The balance and alignment of the Yin & Yang energies, and the Five Elements of fire, water, earth, wood, and metal, that is within you and of the outside world, is tantamount to a healthy self.

Acupuncture is one of the treatment modules in TCM, which works directly with the meridians/channels in your body. By removing the blockages in the meridians, we encourage the flow of Qi and blood. This may directly strengthen the health of the organs, restoring the balance of this interconnected relationship among the systems, and bringing nourishment to areas of pain/disease, and ease the problem.
